What is the best age to begin lessons?
“Immediately!” is usually my response! There is no “magic age”. Some children have the keen ability to focus and retain information at an extremely early age. The best thing to do is come in for a free lesson and assessment.
How often should I practice?
,As much as absolutely possible! Life is busy. But to become proficient at any high level skill, daily routines need to be followed, and practicing is one of those. Although, the amount of time spent practicing each day might differ with skill level.
Do I need to buy books?
Typically, yes. Links to curriculum will be provided as a guide. Used method books can be purchased, but all music theory books need to be new.
How do I pay for lessons?
Four digital platforms of payment are accepted through this web site:
PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, and CashApp
Do I have to perform in public?
Only if you want to. I encourage it, but I do not require it. Recitals are offered once or twice per year and the ultimate goal is to have fun showing off your skills!
