I Have Experience With…
Bands
From playing trumpet and french horn in the fifth grade, to touring with a 19-piece swing band, to leading in-house worship bands, I’ve enjoyed performing with varied groups.
Choral Groups
I have both participated with and directed different choral groups. The genres vary from classical performances of the Berlioz Requiem, to theatre productions of the Pirates of Penzance!
Video/Film/Gaming
My composition work has included short film, tv commercials, corporate training videos, and online gaming
World Music
By having the opportunity to live around the world in places like East Africa, Europe, Central and South America, my cultural understanding of music has deepened.
Equal Opportunity
Although I am not fluent in a 2nd foreign language, I do speak a little Spanish and Portugues. Also, I have worked with individuals who live with ADD and ADHD. Everyone deserves a chance to learn music!
My Approach & Philosophy
No matter where you land on a career, music will be in your life at some point. We are surrounded by it. My belief is that studying music at any age is developmental both mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Music causes creativity. Music creates atmosphere. Music speaks to our souls. Music releases dreams. Music is as natural as the sky and the ocean.
